Every treatment plan is tailored to your skin, your goals, and what feels right for you — with a focus on both results and minimising side effects.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can appear as raised, pink plaques with a silvery scale. It commonly affects areas like the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back — but can occur anywhere on the body. As a long-term condition, it often has both physical and emotional impacts, and we understand that no two experiences with psoriasis are the same.
At Clinic One, we offer a range of effective, evidence-based treatments to help manage and control symptoms. Our dermatologists tailor every treatment plan to suit your needs and lifestyle, with a focus on achieving long-term skin health and quality of life.
Treatment options available at our clinic include:
Narrowband UVB phototherapy
Hand & Foot PUVA
Oral medications (such as vitamin A derivatives)
Biologic therapies – targeted treatments for moderate to severe cases
We also offer UVB light therapy, a safe and well-established option for managing psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, and other chronic skin conditions. Our dermatologists have extensive experience in delivering phototherapy with precision, care, and patient support.

Atopic dermatitis — often referred to as eczema — is a common, chronic skin condition that causes dryness, inflammation, and persistent itching. While it frequently begins in early childhood, many people continue to experience symptoms into adulthood.
The condition is more likely in individuals with a personal or family history of eczema, asthma, or hay fever. In children, it often appears in areas like the inner elbows, knees, and neck. In adults, it may present as hand dermatitis or more widespread irritation.
Although allergies can play a role for some, eczema is most effectively managed by strengthening the skin’s natural barrier. At Clinic One, we focus on restoring skin health through personalised skincare plans using medicated and barrier-repair creams, tailored to each person’s needs.
For moderate to severe cases, our dermatologists may recommend additional treatment options, including:
Narrowband UVB phototherapy
Topical corticosteroids or non-steroidal creams
Oral medications that help regulate the immune response
We understand the day-to-day impact of eczema and are here to support you — or your child — with expert care and long-term solutions.

Hand dermatitis — or hand eczema — is a common skin condition that causes dryness, itching, cracking, and soreness, often affecting day-to-day comfort and work. It can be persistent and frustrating, especially when flares interfere with your routine.
This condition usually develops from a combination of factors, including a personal or family history of eczema, frequent exposure to irritants (like soaps, cleaning agents, or water), and, in some cases, contact allergies. It’s especially common in professions such as healthcare, hospitality, cleaning, hairdressing, mechanics, and food preparation — where hands are constantly exposed to moisture or chemicals.
At Clinic One, our dermatologists work closely with you to identify triggers and create a personalised plan to calm inflammation, restore the skin barrier, and prevent future flares.
Treatment options may include:
Prescription creams and ointments
Narrowband UVB phototherapy
Targeted oral medications for more severe or resistant cases
If you feel like you’ve already tried everything, you’re not alone. Many of our patients come to us after years of struggling — and with the right support, most see real improvement and relief.

Allergic contact dermatitis is a common skin reaction that appears as a red, itchy, sometimes weeping rash, typically a couple of days after direct skin contact with a trigger. Common culprits include nickel, cosmetics, fragrances, plants, rubber, and certain medicated creams or ointments.
Nickel allergy is especially widespread — found in items like costume jewellery, watchbands, bra clasps, and jean studs. Other causes can include plant exposure (like grevillea, tomato plants, or lantana), chemicals in shoes or dyes, and even some ingredients in skincare products or sunscreens.
If the cause isn’t clear, patch testing can help. At Clinic One, our dermatologists offer standardised patch testing to identify potential allergens and guide tailored treatment and avoidance strategies.
Identifying and avoiding the trigger is key — and with the right care, allergic contact dermatitis can be effectively managed.

Excessive sweating — medically known as hyperhidrosis — is a common condition that can affect any area of the body, but most often impacts the underarms, palms, and soles of the feet. While it often starts early in life and isn’t linked to any underlying medical issue, it can cause significant distress, discomfort, and embarrassment.
People with underarm hyperhidrosis may experience constant sweat patches, skin irritation, and body odour. The medical term for this is primary axillary hyperhidrosis — and the good news is, treatment options have significantly improved.
At Clinic One, we offer medically approved injectable treatments that provide long-lasting relief — most patients achieve full control of underarm sweating for up to 4–6 months. Treatments are quick, low-discomfort, and require no downtime.
To access government-subsidised treatment, patients must first trial a strong clinical antiperspirant like Driclor. If it hasn’t worked for you or caused irritation, you may now be eligible for specialist treatment with us — no GP referral needed.
We also offer iontophoresis for severe sweating of the hands and feet (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis). This simple, in-clinic treatment uses a mild electrical current to block sweat glands. After an initial course (typically 12 sessions over four weeks), most patients experience significant relief. Maintenance sessions are then used as needed.

Narrowband UVB phototherapy is a medically supervised light treatment used to manage a range of chronic skin conditions, including psoriasis, eczema, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, hand dermatitis, and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.
Treatment is quick and painless — most sessions last just a few minutes and are typically scheduled three times per week. Visible improvement is often seen within 4–6 weeks.
Unlike commercial tanning beds, narrowband UVB phototherapy is backed by clinical research and does not increase skin cancer risk when administered in a dermatology setting.

Vitiligo is a common skin condition where the skin loses pigment, resulting in white patches that may also affect the hair. It occurs when the immune system becomes overactive and begins targeting pigment-producing cells — although the exact cause is still not fully understood.
Vitiligo is not caused by allergies or nutritional deficiencies. However, people with vitiligo may have a slightly higher chance of other autoimmune conditions, such as thyroid disease.
In rare cases — especially when vitiligo appears later in life (typically after age 60) — it may be an early sign of other medical concerns, including melanoma. While vitiligo isn’t harmful, it can be cosmetically and emotionally challenging, particularly for those with darker skin tones.
Although there’s currently no permanent cure, treatments can help slow the spread, and in many cases, restore pigment to affected areas.
At Clinic One, we use a personalised combination of:
Topical creams
Narrowband UVB phototherapy
Cosmetic camouflage options to help blend lighter patches with surrounding skin

Hair loss is a common concern that can have a significant emotional impact — affecting confidence, self-esteem, and overall wellbeing. At Clinic One, we understand how personal and distressing this experience can be.
There are many potential causes of hair loss, including hormonal changes, ageing, autoimmune conditions, stress, and certain medications. Identifying the underlying cause is the first and most important step toward effective treatment.
Our dermatologists are highly experienced in diagnosing and managing all types of hair loss. Your consultation will involve a comprehensive scalp and hair assessment, and where needed, we may arrange blood tests or a scalp biopsy to guide your care.
Treatment outcomes vary depending on the cause — but in many cases, we see meaningful improvement with the right plan in place. Whether you're dealing with gradual thinning, patchy hair loss, or sudden shedding, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer and melanoma in the world, with around two in three Australians diagnosed by the age of 70. Regular full skin checks are vital for early detection — when caught early, most skin cancers, including melanoma, can be treated more effectively with a higher chance of cure.
While many GPs are skilled at identifying and managing skin cancers, you may be referred to a dermatologist if you have multiple moles, significant sun damage, a personal or family history of skin cancer, or if a lesion appears unusual or complex.
Some signs that may suggest a skin lesion could be cancerous include:
Non-healing sores
Spots that bleed, itch, or look different from others on your skin
New or changing lesions, especially those that are asymmetrical, irregular in shape, multi-coloured, or larger than usual
At Clinic One, we prioritise appointments for patients concerned about skin cancer. Our dermatologists offer comprehensive full skin checks, along with in-clinic surgical procedures and non-surgical treatments tailored to the type and location of the lesion.
If you’ve noticed any changes to your skin — or it’s simply time for a check — we’re here to help.
