Appointment Policy
We require at least one full business day’s notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Planning for your appointment
Please ensure you can attend when booking or confirming your appointment, including making any necessary arrangements with work, school or other commitments. Given the limited availability of dermatology appointments, we ask that you prioritise this time for your care.
Our specialists can provide a medical certificate upon request to support your attendance.
If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend, please contact us promptly and provide the required notice.
Why notice matters
Dermatology appointments are in exceptionally high demand, with a severe shortage of specialists and many patients waiting for assessment and treatment.
Your appointment reserves dedicated time with your specialist. Late cancellations and missed appointments often provide insufficient time for us to contact another patient and arrange for them to attend. This can leave valuable specialist time unused while patients in our community continue to face lengthy waits for care.
Providing the required notice helps us make appointments available to those waiting and supports fair and timely access to specialist care.
Cancelling or rescheduling
If you are unable to attend, please contact our reception team as soon as possible. The earlier you notify us, the greater the opportunity to offer your appointment to another patient.
The notice period is measured in business days, rather than calendar days. Please take weekends, public holidays and practice closures into account when requesting a cancellation or change.
Late cancellations & non-attendance
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than one full business day’s notice, and failure to attend a confirmed appointment, will incur the full consultation fee.
We understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly. If an unforeseen situation affects your attendance, please contact our reception team promptly to discuss your circumstances.
